rubberoduck Posted August 14, 2006 Report Share Posted August 14, 2006 Agree and disagree. obviously there is a ripple effect from the double cohort that will probably last for the next 2-3 years. however, note that UT is opening another med school at the mississauga campus, so more spaces are indeed being added in Ontario. As far as I can tell, fewer people in my class applied than usual, and fewer got in this year too. if this trend continues, there will be a significant backlog. these people are incredibly competition for medicine, in my opinion.
