A few questions regarding the details of school submissions

Recommended Posts

For Queen's school submissions, do people usually provide any additional info for the optional question? Is it there only in case that there's something special to mention? Or is it meant to be taken as an opportunity to expand and comment on your strengths not covered through the other questions?

Secondly, regarding role models, should we mention the real name of the person involved or should we use a generic title (e.g. Dr. X)?

I was wondering about this too. Was is the actual purpose of this extra section? I know some schools only want it to be used to explain something bad that happened in school, or something that affects how the application should be looked at. Can we use it to mention extra stuff that we want to convey that we weren't able to through the rest of the application or is this a no no?
