hk06
So basically, i'm a cegep student looking for hospital experience. I already volunteered at one for two months and although it was ok, I dont feel as though i've captured what medecine is in terms of the science and knowledge. I would really be interested in shadowing different doctors and seeing the type of work they do, but dont know how. Other than just emailing people randomly, are there ways of arranging visits with physicians to view some of the procedures they do(montreal area)? Any info would be greatly appreciated, hk06
Citan
Hey there. I'm an undergraduate student (bac en biologie médicale à Trois-Rivières), and I know that shadowing opportunities are very rare in Québec. The only time I spent shadowing doctors was during high school. I know some Colleges (was it Bois de Boulogne?) organize job shadowing for a day (or half a day). Others organize (unpaid) summer internships. You should ask your API. Other than that, quite frankly, I'm out of idea.
