Cutoff

Recommended Posts

Hi

This question may have been answered already, but I was wondering what Ottawa's cut-off for Ontario residents (not from ottawa) was last year. And just so I'm clear, this refers to the calculated GPA right? also, does anyone think the double cohort is going to affect things in terms of the cutoff? it didnt seem to increase the queens cutoff that much. Thanks for your help!

you applied to ottawa through omsas, so i believe they will use the OMSAS gpa. that's my reasoning :o although this year, even dalhousie used the omsas conversion scale.

Actually, OMSAS isn't representative of the GPA for Ottawa. I learned that the hard way last year. Another thing to consider is that if you took any courses in the summer, those will be calculated into OMSAS' gpa, but not ottawa's.

I believe the OMSAS calculates your GPA from every course you have taken throughout all your education. However, different schools that don't use every course from every year (Queens, UWO, UO, UT, etc) don't use the OMSAS GPA that shows up on the OMSAS application page but they calculate it using their own formula from your course GPA's submitted.
