Roughly half are for individuals from Cegep (for Med-P) and the other half is for undergraduates. (with a few for oop/intl). Their website also states this. In the 2007 admissions handbook from the Association of Faculties of Medicine of Canada, available at http://www.afmc.ca/pages/publications_admission.html it says that McGill accepts 80 people for the Med-P program (pg.21), and 172 people to the MD,CM program (pg23). This adds to roughly 250 seats. Which is correct? I think that the admission booklet wrongly included Med-P students into the MDCM statistics, as well as giving them their own section. It probably means the previous year's premeds get promoted to mdcm, plus the newly admitted mdcms, totalling 172 new bodies in 1st year of mdcm program. So they accept 80 premeds into the qualifying year, plus 172 mdcms - half of which are the previous year's premeds that, having passed their courses with the required grades, are now officially "accepted" into mdcm.
