Guest mcortex88
I know that most schools have the same requirements: 1yr of bio, chem, phys MCAT GPA personal statement 3 references But, could someone explain how each of these work (i.e. what information goes into this "personal statement"? who would the best people be for these "references"? etc) Thanks in advance
Guest Jochi1543
A best reference would be a person who knows you well. For someone, it may be their prof or academic advisor, for someone it would be their old boss, etc. Someone who is familiar with your character in more than one way, can say why you'd be a good doctor, and preferably has good knowledge of why you wanna go into medicine and your degree of interest in the field. You don't want a generic reference from a doctor you shadowed once or something like that.
