im trying to set-up all the essentials in my new pad. i definitley want some kind of high speed internet, but whats with rogers (is there no cogeco in london?) charging an extra 10bucks a month if you dont have tv cable...thats like $55/mo...bastards

 

are there other alternatives? is sympatico available or any local dsl providers?

<pagetext>I have two questions about Western's admission requirements.

 

1. They require you to have 2 years of full courseloads (defined as September-April). How do they treat co-op students from Waterloo who alternate between school and work terms every 4 months? My academic and work terms break down as follows:

 

1A Fall (Sep-Dec)

1B Winter (Jan-Apr)

Workterm #1 Spring (May-Aug)

2A Fall (Sep-Dec)

Workterm #2 Winter (Jan-Apr)

2B Spring (May-Aug)

Workterm #3 Fall (Sep-Dec)

3A Winter (Jan-Apr)

Workterm #4 Spring (May-Aug)

3B Fall (Sep-Dec)

Workterm #5 Winter (Jan-Apr)

4A Spring (May-Aug)

Workterm #6 Fall (Sep-Dec)

4B Winter (Jan-Apr)

 

Technically, I only have one "full year" from September to April (my first year). Someone please tell me that I am not ineligible to apply to Western! Does anyone know how they handle co-op students from Waterloo?

 

2. My second question relates to the pre-requisites, specifically the non-science course with an essay component. It says the validity of the essay course will be audited. How would they audit this? I took a half course in Philosophy and a half course in Classics that I believe would satisfy this requirement. How would they validate whether these courses included an essay component? I can provide the course descriptions in the undergraduate calendar, but unfortunately essays are not mentioned. Do they expect me to provide additional evidence that the courses required essays? I doubt I even have my notes or course outlines since it was so long ago. Please help!!
