<pagetext>So if Ontario med schools are starting to switch to the requirement of a 4 year degree (Western, Ottawa, NOMS) next year, do you think there will be a drop in the cutoff GPA requirement?

I'm pretty sure of it.After all, a whole cohort of students will be ineligible to apply. This in turn will lead to a reduction in the number of applications. Another factor that will play a role in my mind is the fact that some students will reconsider applying to medical school, as the already long process will only get longer.

wait.. is Western changing their requirements NEXT year? (I thought that was what I read in a recent post).

 

Their website says effective 2006 for 2007 entry.

Western is not changing next year...the change at UWO is effective fall 2006...not fall 2004 or fall 2005. There are still TWO application cycles to go under the 'old' requirements.

Does anyone have a copy of the school-specific questions that were asked on the OMSAS application last year? (eg, in a Word document where you worked on your own answers??)

 

Would be nice to start thinking of what to write before July since the second half of my summer will be rough.
