sherry
For all of you U of T students out there, have you heard anything about the neuroscience speciality? I'm debating between that and a double major in psychology and physiology. Thanks!
NeuroObsessed
Hey, I did my undergrad specialist in Neuroscience (@ St. George). It's an amazing program and gives you lots of variability in terms of what you want to pursue (which types of courses you take in higher years, etc). I didn't finish the program because I started Medicine after 3 years. I have recently heard that they're thinking of dismantling the program - or that it will now become part of a bigger program at U of T - you may want to look into this Good Luck
ineffable
I am in the Human Behavioural Biology Specialist program, the program that is being amalgamated with Neuroscience. The new neuroscience program, administered by the human biology department, looks like a great program and if it was around a few years ago I certainly would have enrolled in it. You are right in that there is a lot of flexibility for you to pursue what you like. You'll be able to take many psychology and physiology courses for sure, and if you plan out your courses wisely, you may even be able to do a specialist and a major/minor in psychology/physiology. e.g. I am planning to do the HBB specialist + minors in psychology and anthropology.
