JewelLeigh
awareness of selfawareness of others awareness of personal and physical limits In line this with one....ability to say "I don't know." Most medical schools include this type of thing in assessments throughout clinical rotations - usually as "student's ability to self-assess." Vitum Medicinus
Sense of humor I wish this was mandatory. ... though if it was, it should read, "sense of humour that isn't creepy or weird" On a more serious note, you might find this interesting: http://www.ouac.on.ca/omsas/pdf/COFM_Abilities_Sept03.pdf The medical schools in Ontario came up with a list of Essential Skills and Abilities to practise medicine. On one hand, it will help you with your list; on the other hand, be sure to take it for what it is - a cover-our-ass type of document so that they can't be sued (as easily) for discrimination if they don't admit a student who is, say, handicapped and therefore does not possess the listed skills.
