Chemistry requirement (former UoT students' help required)

Recommended Posts

Hey guys,

I'm currently at UoT. I'm going to be applying to medical school soon, so I've been looking at University of Ottawa's prerequisites. I am a bit confused by their chemistry requirement. They state the following:

3. and 4. the equivalent of two full-year courses of the following Chemistry courses:

i) General Biochemistry without laboratory session;

ii) General Chemistry with laboratory session;

iii) Organic Chemistry with laboratory session.

I'm hoping this means 2 full years of total chemistry courses and not 2 years of each, otherwise I'm screwed. I've taken 1 full year of Organic chemistry with lab, 1/2 year of general chemistry with lab, and 1/2 year of general biochemistry without lab. Would this be enough, or do I need to take more chemistry? I've already e-mailed them, but they didn't reply last time so I'm not holding my breath for a response from that channel.

P.S. Doesn't it really suck that UoT only offers the follow-up course to Chem139 without a lab component? Argh. ..:mad:
