Lele
I'm moving from Alberta, and I was just wondering if I need to get an Ontario health care number? Can't figure out if I'm still considered an Alberta resident or not, so if anyone knows it would be greatly appreciated! See you all in a month and two days..... kcolangelo2011
I ran into this problem as well, with a BC Care card...I was in Ontario and I fractured my rib, apparently unless you go to a hospital, university or a major care center that can directly bill the other province, you have to pay up front...they tried to charge me $500 for an Xray until I went to the hospital and had it done by billing BC directly.... however, if your UWO student insurance will cover it then you might not need to switch and they can bill the insurance company directly... me personally, since I know I'm at UWO for 4 years, I'm going to switch to OHIP (Ontario Health Insurance Plan)...but I guess it would be up to you
