parachutes
Hey guys, I'm going into my 5th year of undergrad and planning on writing my mcat next summer. Question is: as an OOP applicant, should I try and apply to uOttawa and McMaster this year? My OMSAS GPA year 1: 3.55 year 2: 3.83 year 3: 3.72 year 4: 3.74 (but only half a year cause of coop) so my wGPA is 3.73 Seeing as so few people seem to get in on their first try, I was considering applying this round to learn from the experience. It would obviously be great to get in but I realize my stats aren't very competitive for OOP. I will have 1 year of fulltime research experience (no publications) by december and average ECs. It would be to get some interview experience out of this round...but I don't know if I would even get that. Advice would be great! Thanks.
The Law
You could try, but the UOttawa cutoff for OOPs last year was 3.87. Mac has an OOP quota, but your GPA isn't too bad for that school.
Sooner Or Later
Hey Parachutes, I think you should definetly give Mac a try. As for Ottawa, I'm pretty sure that your GPA as an OOP is not high enough for them. Good luck!
Guest FockI'mOld!
Save your money and forget Ottawa. As for Mac, give your best shot and hopefully you won't have to write the MCAT next year. Good luck!
