Guest Elaine I
What consists of an extracurricular activity on the OMSAS Sketch? Is that section for including club memberships, etc.? Thanks for your help. Elaine
Guest aneliz
An extracurricular activity is something that you 1. Didn't get paid for (not a job) 2. Didn't serve others by doing (not a volunteer job) 3. Didn't do to satisfy academic requirements It includes things like: playing on a team, competing/training in an individual sport, playing in an orchestra, playing a musical instrument, singing in a choir, being part of a club or organization, dancing, stamp collecting, fencing, whatever. Basically it is the 'other' category...and generally includes things from the land of arts, sports and cultural activities.
Guest Kirsteen
Hi there, As aneliz mentioned OMSAS' "extracurricular" category is a catch-all for anything not logically placed in the other categories. Aneliz may have insinuated this when she mentioned "cultural", but one other item that can be nicely group into this category is any sort of travel that you have done. Cheers, Kirsteen
