Guest ChuckNorrisFTW
muse.jhu.edu/journals/jou...lynch.html This really opened up my eyes. I was always wondering why schools like McMaster always had like ~33% men and 67% women.
Guest Ollie
Huh? Did you actually read the book or just the book review? I don't see how this explains the M:F ratio at McMaster.
Guest scrubbed
I agree with Ollie: the conclusion does not follow from the premises. In addition, the information presented is quite vague. Sally Satel is a psychiatrist whose writing is supported by the American Enterprise Institute, a right-leaning American think tank. The book referenced, PC, M.D., primarily takes aim at the alleged role of politically correct academic public health departments in shaping policy and public health institutions. Before anyone takes too many keystrokes addressing this, it seems that this is a topic that comes up again, and again.
