western1
Hi everyone, Like most of you, I have great interest in medicine. I'm 23 with a BA in psychology from the University of Calgary and looking for the best way to accomplish my goal. I graduated with a 3.2 GPA (4 year degree) and I don’t have a lot of science courses except some statistics and intro biology. I will have to take all of the science courses (including university English) and strive to increase my GPA. what would be the best route to take? - Take the prereqs at a recognized college - Take the prereqs at university (either as an unclassified student or as part of a degree) - take a postbac pre-med program Maybe there are other options that I’m missing, advice will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
futuredoc
I think you should begin a second degree in science. That way, your old marks will have no effect on your current ones. I know that many places only look at one degree, so you get a chance to make it your best shot. I think you should probably take the degree at a university, but that's just me. I wouldn't take a pre-med program, I hear those are brutal. Best of luck.
