I know there is a list of CDA questions. But will they also ask you broad questions like "tell me about yourself" and "why do you want to be a dentist"?

 

Also, is it open file or closed file?

 

I believe two faculty members will be there?

I can answer some of your questions:

 

1) The only questions being asked of you will be CDA questions. No personal questions. If they do ask any personal questions (which didn't happen to me, or any of my classmates that I know of), then they won't count in your score.

 

2) There will be two interviewers.

 

I don't know what you mean by closed/open book.

I think Daryn was asking whether the interviewers will know the applicant's file, including their GPA's, DAT scores, and whatever else was submitted; Hence, an open file as opposed to no knowledge of the applicant beforehand - closed file.

When I went for my interview last year, the first thing the interviewers told me was that they knew nothing about my GPA/DAT. Every student interviewed is on 'equal' ground to the interviewers.
