lostintime
How is rez food at UWO? =P I'm thinking of getting some flex dollars. I guess I could always eat at the Pizza Pizza, Subway, etc. but those are quite expensive, and not all that healthy (well I guess Subway is okk... but I could make my own subs too). svp2k5
Campus food isn't very good. There is a Pizza Pizza, a Pita Pit, a Mr Submarine and Manchu wok at the UCC. There is also a Tim Horton's that does sandwiches at the UCC. There is also the campus owned/run Spoke, and the Wave (which are decent). Also, the Grad club sells food. Really though, the options aren't great.
ploughboy
On the upside, the UCC seems to have gotten that salmonella outbreak under control...
lostintime
Thanks for the replies! Those are restaurants though, right? Do they have actually residence food that we can get? I'm thinking that fast food all the time might kill my health =P Salmonella outbreak?!?! Ahh.....
Sheena815
I never ate on campus much and I cooked in first year (no meal plan) but I did eat rez food a couple times. It was just terrible. And its not like I had high expectations going in.
worriedandwaiting
Yes, there is rez food. But the quality can range from where you go ( i felt saugeen was the worst). Perhaps thats just one of those 'the grass is greener..' sort of things and that really all of the rez food comes from the same source - I dunno... Maybe its best if you wait till september before you invest in flex dollars. Try the food a few days and if you like it go for it. It might be nice to have some money on flex dollars for convenience (vending machines, tim hortons).
