humanitiespremed
I have a BA in history and am currently finishing up my science prereqs before I apply this fall. But I have to ask, even with a few biology, chemistry courses under my belt etc., will I be hopelessly behind if I get in? Do you know arts students that have at least kept up or even done well in med school?
Jewels1986
I think pretty much every med school class in Canada has at least a few students from a humanities background, and they do fine. Really, most people aren't all that "well prepared" - the engineers don't know biology, the biochemists don't know anatomy, etc. It's a bit more work, but definitely manageable - don't worry! They really don't assume much prior knowledge, and everything evens out fairly quickly.
