human instinct
Since I will soon be graduating and will probably need to work full time during summer to pay for my Masters, I was wondering what resources the life/health sciences graduates use for securing summer/part time jobs in a research area (e.g. lab job/research assistant e.t.c) that pays well (e.g. $8000 or more over the summer) ? Are there any good online resources apart from workopolis and monster? P.S: I have checked the research sticky already and most of the studentships pay only around 4500-5000 Thanks. sparkles3288
The summer studentships at my uni are essentially all at $6000. In terms of other lab jobs, you'd be hard pressed to find one that pays decent unless you worked as a tech. Try the uni's website postings. Working in industry is usually harder to get fresh out of a Bsc.
sparkles3288
Oh and if you already have a supervisor set up for your Msc, some will pay you to work as a tech the summer after graduation and before grad school..so maybe ask about that too?
