newbie_01
I am currently working in Fort McMurray in Alberta. I did my undergraduate a while back at UWO. My questions are: 1. does the general chemistry requirement have to have a lab component? 2. anyone know where I can fulfill the general chemistry requirement through distance studies? I tried UWO but they do not offer anything via distance that meets the requirement.
mandolin
http://www.athabascau.ca/html/syllabi/chem/chem217.htm Seems like it would be appropriate for gen chem 1. It comes with a home lab kit. There's a second course in the sequence as well. I know that the U of A would accept Organic I and II from Athabasca, so I can't imagine they'd have a problem with general chemistry. Wut?
Not sure if it has to have a lab component, but if it helps, the two lowest level general chemistry courses at the U of A have lab components. Sorry I can't be of more help!
Jamer
Does anyone know if U of A will even have pre-reqs next year at all? I know they're getting rid of pGPA...

Wut?
Does anyone know if U of A will even have pre-reqs next year at all? I know they're getting rid of pGPA... Prereqs will still exist. The only difference is that they are no longer calculated into a separate 'scoring category'
