Rach
My MSAR book is a few years old and I have read that a couple of new medical schools have opened up in the US since it was published. I really don't want to go through the list of schools on the AAMC site to see which ones recently opened so if anyone happens to know the names of those schools off the top of their heads, please save me some time! Thanks. ETA: I seem to keep reading the same 4 schools (FIU, Tex Tech, another Florida one, and a PR one) but I thought there were 5 new ones, not 4. Am I missing one? Also, is there any reason not to apply to schools that are brand new, in terms of accreditation and whatever else med schools have to get?

Rach
doubt it does either yeah it's doubtful. But the good news is that the one in Miami does, and I would love to move back to Florida. Too bad tuition is 60+ K a year!

tree999
Why is it that most of the schools which accept Canadians are cold-weathered? My greatest wish is that the UC schools took more Canadians....
Classic
Why is it that most of the schools which accept Canadians are cold-weathered? It's a conspiracy to keep us in the cold ... imagine how many of us would be in Florida if only they accepted Canadians

Rach
which one in Miami accepts Canadians? Florida International University. Their 2010 class size is only 60, so it will probably be hard to get in as a Canadian. Unless you are fluent in Spanish and have some sort of connection to Florida, save your application $$. Microbiodude
There's a new one in Pennsylvania ... Commonwealth Med School or something? I've checked this one...they only take U.S citizens, with preference to applicants from that region (Scranton I believe)...its similar to the SWOMEN advantage at Western.
