Job in Medical School

Recommended Posts

However, there are exceptions to this. I know that some people do work part-time. These generally are students who were in somewhat lucrative professions prior to med school (eg. pharmacists, lawyers, engineers, software designers). They make good money just by working a few hours a week in jobs they've been in before. .

Are there actually engineers doing this? I've never heard of one in my time in engineering or medicine.

I'd imagine it would be very hard to do. Most engineering projects are big and involve a lot of dedicated work that you need to have a good understanding of what is happening. I know that I couldn't just jump back into my old job for a few hours a week.

Pharmacy I can understand since it's a bunch of little patient contacts 99% of the time. Law I can also kind of understand because there are lots of little letters and contracts to look do.
