I am extremely fortunate to have a few places to choose between, but I have a very strong tie to Toronto (my long-term bf is here, and moving is not practical for him right now). I have been at UofT for both my undergrad and my master's, and while I really like Toronto and was impressed with the med school, I have mixed feelings about staying...been here so long already! So here are my questions, and I would appreciate hearing what people think: (1) For med students whose sig. others live elsewhere, how often do you actually have time to see them? Overall, do couples in this situation tend to separate? (2) Has anyone felt they made the wrong choice, or could have had a better experience elsewhere, after having stayed at the same school where they did their last degree? (3) For med students whose sig. others live in the same place...how much time do you have for them? How do you deal with one of you being so busy? Any comments = great. Thanks.
