leafsfan
So, after all the trouble of applying for two years, I got into Wayne state. Except now, I'm having an unfortunate turn of events at home... And i would like to stay closer to home if possible. Does anyone know how hard it is to get deferral status in the states for personal reasons...? Also, is it possible to apply to the Canadian schools if I defer an offer in the States (ie. for next year)? I know they make you sign a contract, but I don't think I can leave my siblings at the time and i would like to be closer to home... Will I just have to withdraw my offer? ED527
Hi there, Sorry to hear about your personal problems. As for deferrals, there is no contract that you need to sign. I know an individual that deferred an acceptance at a Canadian school and then applied the following year to another Canadian school and subsequently matriculated at that school.
