med88
I fired off an email to UofS admissions, but the admissions officer is off for the week, so I thought I'd post my question here. I have searched this forum but did not find anything specific to McMaster. For those applicants who applied to UofS having completed an undergrad at Mac, what was an A+ converted to? From some sources, I heard it's a 93% and from others, a 95%. Does anyone know exactly? I apologize if this has been posted before.
Vincent Freeman
Hello med88 - where did you hear Mac A+ ==> 95?
med88
I read it on this forum in threads dating way back. I'm at work right now, so I can't dig them up, but it was here some where.
med88
To those interested in what the admissions office had responded: Thanks for your email.* *The following conversion chart will be used to convert McMaster grades to U of S grades: A+**** 95% A****** 88% A-***** 82% B+**** 78% B****** 75% B-***** 72% C+**** 68% C****** 65% C-***** 62% D+**** 58% D****** 55% D-***** 52 F This past year, to be offered an interview, the cutoff for out-of-province applicants was 91.4%. eyeopener
Is this the general grade conversion scale for letter grade-->percent? Or just specific to Mcmaster?
momo
I'm at U of S, and I graduated from Mac - my A+ was 95%... period. amen. Unless they have drastically changed the scheme, that's what it is. And this scheme is specific to McMaster somewhat... U of S has a list of what each school will be converted to. If you are interested in grades from another school, ask when the admission person is back.
