Guest 2006med
Do we get a white coat ceremony at U of T? What is it like? Also, does anyone know when we'll next hear from the admissions people regarding registration, orientation, and applying for scholarship/bursaries? Any info you have would be greatly appreciated! Thanx.

Guest YongQ
No white coat ceremony at U of T. In the first week there is nothing so formal. I hope you guys are prepared for your O-Week, as it promises to be the best ever (as would be expected by an 0T5-run event)! There is no registration. Once you've paid your first installment of the tuition and sent your confirmation of acceptance, you're in. You can apply for scholarships/bursaries in September (there's an application form at the Med Ed office that you fill out, and they assess you by your med school application and an up-to-date CV). The due date was early October last year. Just a note: the scholarships are a paltry amount, nothing as substantial as the many-thousand-dollar scholarships many of you got in undergrad. See you in August! YONGQ
Guest Akane200
There's no white coat ceremony, but I do recall that in the first intro lecture given by Dr Taylor, we did recite the medical student's oath. Not a very formal event, but a formality in itself to begin the our medical education.
