Prothrombin
I've been doing quite a bit of research on both PM101 and SDN but most of the threads are years old and out of date on information. I'm looking for a few quick answers to some questions regarding getting a DO degree from the US. 1) You need to do residency at an ACGME accredited place right? 2) If my ultimate goal is to come back to Canada, which exams do I need to take if any, and what visa do I need to obtain? I'm just interested in getting a brief overview of the steps required

There's definitive information there about eligibility for residency for Americans, IMGs, DOs, etc.
token
Some provinces and states require DOs to complete ACGME residencies, but some actually require them to do AOA residencies or at least an AOA TRI. It's all on a state-by-state basis, and all the Canadian regulations are in the DO sticky.
