PastaInhaler
For those who wrote the MCAT and were given hearing protection, did any of you pass on it? I saw one guy have his on his desk space. Anyone else? I also heard that some other person thought it was uncomfortable and did not wear it for this reason. Ear plug users? sparkles3288
I didnt wear the ear plugs because I thought it was annoying. I had spent my time studying though in the noisy part of the library so that it would be like test conditions, and as such, I wasn't bothered with the noise at all. As long as you stay focused, you dont even hear anyone else.
AndreaM
I didn't use my head phones. Of course I did all of my studying with 7 children under the age of 7 running around my house (I was running a family daycare at the time), so noise doesn't bother me. That said, it was really quiet at my testing centre anyway. The little bit of keyboard noise wasn't very bothersome at all.

MCATStrategy
Ear plugs are a lot more comfortable than the ear muffs if you're used to using them. The ear muffs are especially uncomfortable if you have glasses because it presses against your glasses and prevents a good seal from being formed.
