Dr.Bobzor
Hello, I recently got my mcat back 10-7-10 R and I was wondering if the 7 will get me flagged at UBC? and what does being flagged mean? does it mean you are out of the running for sure? Thanks
future_doc
the concept of being red flagged means you would be given special attention but not in a good way. I am not familiar with the UBC cut-offs, if any, aplying to MCAT, but I am sure those who are aware will let you know soon. At worst, you rewrite, many of us do. AndreaM
UBC doesn't give information on how your MCAT score is used, or how any of your academic information is used really. If you look at their stats for acceptance you are on the low side of the average of those accepted. If you are also on the low side for your GPA, then that's not good. One of the few things UBC does mention regarding your MCAT score, is that it is not factored in until after your interviews, so if you have a strong application I doubt your MCAT will have a huge impact on acceptance, but if you only have a so-so application then it might be the deciding factor. Vancouverite1987
I heard that UBC red flags any MCAT score less than 8. Red flags just mean that you will be discussed by the committee...an MCAT score less than 8 will be discussed from what i understand. Hope that helps!
