The Law
Anybody have any tips on how to remember what layer makes what parts of the body? I always end up forgetting.
nemesis
Memorize the ones that seem counter-intuitive. For example, neurons originate from the ectoderm. Some examples, like epidermal cells orginating from the ectoderm and skeletal/cardiac muscle cells originating from the mesoderm, seem logical, so these don't necessarily need to be committed to memory. A nice schematic always helps:

nemesis
No neural crest cells? I believe neural crest cells are also derived from the ectoderm.
takashi
Well for some parts Ecto = outside therefore skin, Meso kinda like sounds like muscle , Endo kinda like "in" so internal organs like GI tract.
