cgy_guy23
I have read about a book - Freeman's Ultimate Guide to Choosing a Medical Specialty which is good however it is obviously aimed at American students. Although a bunch of the information is transferable to Canadians, does anyone know of a similar 'Guide book' that explains the Canadian medical process and is from a Canadian perspective? It would be much appreciated if you have any suggestions for useful resources. I have already looked at the CaRMS website and understand the general concepts behind it, but a thorough explanation from someone who has gone through it would be more useful (i.e. a book, or even your own personal advice etc. if you have the time/are willing to provide it). Thanks.
obamasutra
How not to fail: 1. Start looking at specialties early. 2. Aim for high competitiveness specialties. 3. Network. This is the most important. 4. Be forward.
