japlanet
Hi, Can a current mac med student possibly post a link to where we can see a typical weekly schedule of a first year med student? Thanks! Typical weekly . . . . ahahhaha, that's funny. Basically, lectures M F morning, 8:30-12ish. PC (professional competencies) tutorial T 9-12. The rest is up for grabs. You'll have 2 3 hour tutorials, generally M-Th or T-F, but the times/locations of those vary by group and change each MF. You'll also have one clinical skills session per week - again, the time/location of that (and even the duration) varies widely. About once a month on a Wednesday, you'll have an all-day clinical skills/anatomy session. Then sometimes they'll put lecture on W or Th morning just to spice it up. Then there are various electives that either you plan (clinical) or you can just attend (lecture-based). Basically, every week is different. It definitely took some getting used to. Oh, and there's a solid chance that some of that will change for next year.
FacetheMusic
What J says is true. But since I've yet to meet a doctor (other than FM) that does the same thing everyday of the week in the normal 9-5 hours, I figure we have to get used to it.
