Guest Medhopeful
Just wondering for mcgill: Do the pre-req's need to be taken within a full course load? (15 cr.) Could someone just take the missing pre-req's and take lets say 9 cr. (bio, chem, phys) ? I heard summer pre-req courses didn't count, so I was wondering about this Thanks
Guest McGillGrad
I have spoken to McGill medical school advisors and they strongly feel that a full class load during all years is a must in order to be seriously considered. There will be exception, but in general they strongly prefer full class loads for at least 90 credit hours. I do not see how one semester would be a big deal, though. Guest Medhopeful
Thanks, McGilGrad.. Heard you were doing a second major in chemistry, what was your first? Wish you best of luck
Guest dfenst
I had to take Organic Chem II as I had never taken it, so I took it last year as an independent student at Condordia. McGill didn't seem to frown on that. Dan
Guest bearman14
I agree with Dan -- I took a BCEM course by correspondence, and it was OK with the adcom. I also took my physics during the spring and summer, and they had no issues with that either. Bearman
