<pagetext>Does anyone "in the know" know if plans for e-mail notification are on track this year? In the info session, we were told that if the system is working and there is no danger of a crash like last year, they may inform us by e-mail (how can they predict?).

 

Also, if e-mail is used, will 30th be the doomsday or the June1st?

I don't know if they are sending e-mails this year. I received my e-mail on Friday May 31st at 11 in the morning Hope you get good news this coming week.

Hey cosmo0,

 

I'm far from "in the know", however, I've heard that the Dean of Medicine is keen on sending out emails again this year...if all goes well, hopefully this is true. If it is true, I believe the emails would be sent out on the last business day in May...it was the 31st last year...but this year it is this Friday, May 30th. Let's keep our fingers crossed...and good luck to you! The wait is starting to make me nuts...

 

 

edit: by the way, I believe, if email is sent, it is only to those who are getting first-round offers...the rest of the candidates have to wait until they receive their snail mail (usually the first week of june) to find out whether they are on the "good" or "bad" waitlist.

I e-mailed Denis Vadeboncoeur (from the admission office at UofO) last Friday. He confirmed that e-mails will be sent out to those receiving a first-round offer.

Hey!

 

I was just wondering if anyone knows anything about financial aid for Quebec residents in medicine at the University of Ottawa. I don't seem to be eligible for aid from the Ontario government since I am still a Quebec resident but the Quebec government also says I am not eligible for aid from them because I am in medicine in Ontario and Quebec also has medical programs.....

 

So!

 

I am not too sure what students from Quebec in the department usually do to finance their studies...??:rolleyes

 

The deadline to apply for financial aid from Quebec is June 30th so if anyone has any info, that would be fantastic!
