breakfastperson
My partner and I intend on couples matching - he wants Community Medicine and I want Family med. I may be interested in some of the rural streams of FM in Ontario (ex. Queens, UWO, Mac). Does anyone know how feasible it would be for him as a community med applicant to get the rural spots for his first two years of FM? I am trying to see how likely it will be that we will ACTUALLY be in the same place, if I chose a rural stream.
moo
Not familiar with programs in Ontario but it's not hard to match into CM. UT has a rural stream I believe for CM. I think your best bet would be to have him talk to whatever program he's matched into and see if he can do FM rurally wherever you are. I would first try to match to the same institution first though, obviously.
