bittersweet08
Hey Guys I was wondering if anyone had suggestions for a good into radiology textbook for clerkship. I am not interested in going into Radiology, but want a textbook which will teach me good approaches to reading CTs, MRIs and X Rays. Thanks! BlackJack
I liked Squires. It's pretty basic.
Lactic Folly
I highly recommend Learning Radiology: Recognizing the Basics by William Herring. It explains terminology and normal anatomy from the ground up, but manages to cover a great deal of high-yield and practical information. It is written in an easy-to-read style with bolded key points and summary charts. Still using it in residency. http://www.amazon.com/Learning-Radiology-Recognizing-STUDENT-CONSULT/dp/0323043178/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1290734322&sr=8-
Julie
For basics I liked "Clinical Radiology Made Ridiculously Simple". Lots of us got it at OttawaU & it was actually a mandatory read for my short radiology rotation... it's very basic, but you can read through it in a few hrs/a weekend at most, and it has a way of explaining things that I found entertaining & easy to remember. It comes with a CD of cases, which is very good and adds a bit of depth to the book.
