Bobby
For CARMs is one better than the other? I wouldn't mind doing CTU or a subspecialty, there's a lot to learn in both. But I hear that in CTU you have very little time working with an attending. Most of your time is spent doing ward work with your residents. This may make it hard to get a letter.. What do you guys think?
007
As a peds resident, I'd say do a subspecialty. You will spend more time with the attending and you will get more one on one teaching from them. Plus, it's an opportunity to explore areas of peds you might not get in your clerkship.
