Karma
I'm feeling pretty lost about my choice of electives and was wondering what electives should be taken by someone who wants to get into FM?
cardiomegaly
Anything! Having both rural and urban family, then you can spin absolutely any specialty you want. O&G for low risk obs and all the female primary care you will be providing, dermatology because people love coming to the doctor for their rashes, MSK complaints constitute 30% of family doctor visits (so ortho or rheum would be good), Ophthalmology since you have to screen with fundoscopy and it's a tricky skill, emerg, internal medicine, surgery, psych - you name it, family med has to know something about it!
