I'd apply 1. tact and diplomacy (in whatever solution you decide to use you have to make sure that you don't step on the professor's toe) 2. sensitivity - whether you continue to pursue the professor in some creative fashion or decide to bypass him for alternative help - you need to clarify that your consideration in choosing a course of action would take into account the professor's priorities and conflicting demands, maintaining a positive perspective on perhaps why he isn't readily available 3. communication - persuasive communication of your urgent need and modifying your communication with him in coming up with a mutually-agreeable solution to meet Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
