MCAT scores... good for how long?

Hi all,

Does anyone have any info on how long Canadian and American med schools will consider your MCAT scores? I have been searching previous posts and checking med school websites but I've been unable to find an answer.

I am planning to write the MCAT this summer; I've still two years left in undergrad but I am planning on entering graduate school after I finish my BSc. If applying goes according to plan (knock on wood) my MCAT scores would be approximately 3 years old when I apply to med school. Would they still be valid? Or would I have to rewrite?

Any info and advice would be greatly appreciated.

You should be okay for Canadian schools. I think scores are good for 5 years at most schools (although I'm not too familiar with the schools outside Ontario).

For American schools, I've seen references to a 3 year limit.
