marsh38
Hi, I'm an Irish medical student coming to Toronto in July to do an observership at Mt. Sinai hospital with another colleague. We have absolutely no idea where to stay/begin looking for accommodation so any help would be greatly appreciated! Also we are students and therefore very much on a budget, would love something under $800 and preferrably close to the hospital. Thanks, Rebecca
reminem96
Hey i'm from Toronto but currently studying medicine in Australia. Did u try http://www.craigslist.org or http://www.kijiji.ca. These classifieds websites usually have a lot of short term rentals posted and anything near a subway line should get you to Mt. Sinai and back pretty easily. BTW, can I ask how you organised your observership? I don't really know any doctors and was looking to organise one for myself in the near future as well. mickey
Hi Rebecca, My condo is very close to Mt Sinai hospital, 5-10 minutes walking distance. You're welcome to stay at my place for under $800. Unfortunately, I only have 1 bed, but it's Queen-sized. If it's okay with you, I don't mind sharing. There's also a fully-equipped gym, swimming pool, 24-hour concierge at my condo, close to libraries, other hospitals, shopping centres, grocery stores, buses/subway system. I'm a resident going into my 3rd year of internal medicine residency, and am a very quiet female, non-smoker. Let me know if you're interested. jade2323
We have a room available just north of Dundas and just off University Avenue, walking distance from Mount Sinai. The rent is $560 a month, four female roommates, it's a five bedroom house with a great patio. jadedouris@gmail.com for more info!
pingu
Might want to just live in one of the residences at UofT. Some of them are pretty nice. I think there's a thread about it somewhere on premed101.
