ryesci
Hi, I recently finished my first year at ryerson bio program and I was looking for some volunteer positions at hospitals. I remember in grade 12 we had a volunteer sheet which we had to get signed by the place where we volunteered but what about university? Would it just be like handing in a resume of your EC's to med schools with the name of the place and the supervisor etc...
thehumanmacbook
No, on OMSAS you basically put an estimated # of hours and someone who can verify that you've completed the said activity. But yes, it is somewhat similar to a resume.
HBP
Just keep track of it in a CV. You'll have to manually input it for medical schools--nobody just takes your CV. Applications require you to submit into a form, which includes verifier details + contact information. For Ontario the form has 48 items (submitted through OMSAS) where you have to input your hours. It includes Employment, Education, Extra Curriculars, Volunteer, Awards/Accomplishments, Research, and Other.
