Guest Katie
I have a couple of silly questions I'm just not clear about. I'm taking the MCAT this August, but applying to med schools next year. (I just want to get the MCAT over with.) This means that I should not release the scores to anyone this year, right? So then next year, how do I send my scores to schools? Do I contact the AAMC? Sorry! I know you all probably think I'm really dense now!
Guest Ian Wong
There's a link at the top of the screen to the MCAT home-page, which is run by the AAMC. You'll need to poke around in there for something known as an ASR (Additional Score Release). You can download this form, and fill it out by adding the school codes for the schools you wish to send your MCAT scores to. Then, you'll have to send in some cash for each school, and the ASR, and the AAMC should notify you when they send out your scores. That's what I recall, but the above link should be pretty self-explanatory. Ian UBC, Med
