does any one know which universities cover the northern territories (NWT, YK, NV...)

for instance, i know that McGill covers Nunavik, the northern part of Quebec, and I heard that U Ottawa covers Nunavut (at least partially)

how about the others? anyone? some ideas?

thanks!!!

Do you mean for doing rotations in the north? Here's what I know, although I'm sure there's more...

- McGill and Laval share Nunavik

- McGill covers James Bay on the Quebec side

- Ottawa, MUN, and Manitoba send residents to Nunavut

- I think Manitoba has a teaching site in Churchill

- MUN has Happy Valley Goose Bay, Labrador (students + residents)

- lots of Ontario schools have connections in northern Ontario (NOSM obviously would have the most)

- UBC and Alberta (maybe also Calgary?) send residents to NWT and Yukon

- it may be different as a resident, but as a med student you can go to many places in NWT or Yukon without applying through a university with official connections there. For example, if you're in Ontario and want to do a rotation in Whitehorse, you can apply directly without going through UBC. You just have to work out the credit with your own school.

Hope that helps a bit.
