"Do you ever pause to realize that you are part of an impossibly long chain of life that has not ended or been terminated since the primordial beginnings of our planet, billions of years ago?

Every single one of your direct ancestors has lived long enough to mate, divide or pass their DNA on in some form or another to its subsequent offspring, resulting in you.

Now imagine that entire connected chain of barely-imaginable and completely different sets of life forms as you currently envision it, instead being considered as one single entity.

One unimaginably successful living being that has transcended time and disasters through tricks of cellular division and DNA replication. You ARE that entity.

You are an ancient organism. . . no. . . you are a billions-of-****ing-years-old organism (and believe me, you’ve done a lot of years’ worth of ****ing), whose spark of life has never been snuffed.

It has existed continuously in different forms since nearly the beginning of time. You have not lived different, disparate lifetimes; rather you are still in your one, original lifetime.

You are finally and at long last just coming to know yourself and your place in the Universe through a series of events, mutations and Cosmic chance that played out over inconceivable stretches of time.

At the cellular level, you have kept thriving and have found a way to preserve your spark of life amidst all the other branches of your cellular tree who could not.

You are, by the widest of margins, an unthinkably successful organism. Your description is as close as anything has ever been to that of an immortal being who has never suffered eradication in the history of Earth’s lifespan.

YOU: right here, right now—your consciousness and everything that you are is one and the same with the first single-celled organism that you derived from during the genesis of life on our planet.

You are the Highlander. Of the known Cosmos."

“The acorn becomes an oak by means of automatic growth; no commitment is necessary. The kitten similarly becomes a cat on the basis of instinct. Nature and being are identical in creatures like them. But a man or woman becomes fully human only by his or her choices and his or her commitment to them. People attain worth and dignity by the multitude of decisions they make from day by day. These decisions require courage.”

“Love is like a friendship caught on fire. In the beginning a flame, very pretty, often hot and fierce, but still only light and flickering. As love grows older, our hearts mature and our love becomes as coals, deep-burning and unquenchable.”

- Bruce Lee quotes (American Actor and martial arts expert, 1940-1973)
