The one obstacle stopping many developing nations to progress is corruption. This activist is making a great effort in a completely non-violent way to force the issue to be tackled in India and it's become a pretty big deal currently. Interesting stuff to see. I'll try to support this guy in whatever small way I can.

Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely.

The beauocrats have a great deal of power everywhere and abuse is commonplace. I recall in enlighteeed Canada an appointed immigration judge was caught on tape trying to extort sexual favours from a lady seeking approval of her immigration into Canada. These sort of things happen more often than we can imagine in Canada and elsewhere but not under the scrutiny of the light.

If you want to catch a ratg, shine a light on it. This is happening in India, where the rats include politicians, the police, everyone weilding power and in trying to afrrest this man, they have created even more of a spotlight upon themselves.

As a third world nation and the world's largest populated democracy, the citizens of India are routinely plundered, financially raped with no power to stop both the many corrupt politicians at the highest level and the greedy, dishonest civil servants.

Well, it is a time for change and they are being shamed into beginning to address this issue and to find the political will to make and enforce change OR to face the consequences at the next election.

The politicans obviously want to maintain the status quo, where corruption and bribery is a way of life and felt to be an entitlement.

Hopefully, things will finally change in India with the momentum being created bhy this one 74 year old man. One person can change the world!
