Guest droppybox2000
Hey, With the June 10th deadline approaching, I am getting last minute jitters about McGill. What is everyone's experience with how much clinical exposure students at McGill get? Both during BoM and rotations? Is it a disadvantage to do less rotations due to BtB at the end of the fourth year? Thanks everyone, Droppy
Guest medicator007
Firstly.. BTB is being compeltely overhauled and morphed into a new senior clerkship component so that should not be a future issue. Secondly... even with the BTB component from which I recently graduated, there is no doubt that our clinical exposure is on par if not greater than many medical schools in canada. While we go into the hospitals and learn clinical skills a bit later in the curriculum there is NO doubt that the level of responsibility, clinical exposure and confidence is consistently there and a fact that is reinforced by comments fellow Mcgill students have received when doing electives out of province.
