Research on Application?

Recommended Posts

Hi all

I just wanted to confirm that there was no place on the Manitoba Supplementary Application to include any research that wasn't a job or published. For example, a poster presentation at a conference couldn't be put under the publication section right? Even though there's a "Presentation at Conference" option, I assume that's meant for presented published work.

Thanks!

I wonder why they collect information about our volunteering histories when it doesn't play a role in the admission process?

I would think just to make sure that the applicants have done SOMETHING. If you had absolutely no volunteer or work experience, that wouldn't look too good. Clearly, they don't put alot of weight into it but they may flag applications with very little/no experience. Just my thoughts, I could be wrong.
