c.lake
Hello! I had a question about pre reqs that I couldn't find in the forums :/ I'd like to go to UBC after my undergrad, and if I do the pre reqs in the summer do they count towards my GPA calculation?? Some people said no, and other said yes and I'd like an accurate answer

c.lake
Aww really? I was hoping to do the killer reqs in the summer so that they don't damage my GPA
spuddy999
Well, I know they count for UBC anyway. Off the top of my head I am not entirely sure what other schools count them in the overall average if you do the courses in summer. However, I know for a fact that a number of Canadian med schools do not count summer courses in the overall average, so if you're wanting to do your hard courses in the summer, you could look at applying schools who don't count these as part of your overall average. spuddy999
Ideally though you should take the hard courses in stride and do them during the sept/jan semesters. Which courses are you specifically talking about?
